Art exhibition

This is my soccer art for the art exhibition. This relates to me because I play soccer.

  • No larger than A3
  • Must be super high quality (your absolute personal best)
  • Must be a type of visual art
  • Must be aesthetically pleasing (it has to look good)
  • It must challenge you (aim high)

Holiday soccer program

In there holidays I went to a soccer program. It went for 4 days. We had a tournament and our team name was New Zealand. We played in the final and tied so it was penalty shoot out and Corbyn shot and scored.

Tāwhirimātea w9

I chose this because I like making movies.

We were learning to retell a story.

Tāwhirimātea (Pronunciation)

Tāwhirimātea lived between the embrace of Ranginui and Papatūānuku as did the other children of his whānau. He liked living close to his parents. He could talk to his mother, and get advice from his father when he needed to. Tāwhirimātea didn't mind the difficulties of living in continual darkness, or that space was so confined that he and the rest of his siblings had to crawl to get around. But the other children had had enough.
Tāwhirimātea 1
A meeting was called and the majority of the children decided that their parents had to be separated.
Tūmātauenga addressed them, "Once they feel the blows of my patu they will soon loosen their grip and we'll finally be free to walk upright and greet Tamanuiterā, the sun."
Tāwhirimātea disagreed."How dare you! How dare you think of hurting our parents in such a way. They fed you, nurtured and raised you, and now you reward them with this?"
The children bowed their heads in shame, but Tūmatauenga stood his ground.
Tāwhirimātea 2
"We have asked them to separate, we have pleaded with them to let us see the light, but do they listen? No, this is the only way!"
Tūmātauenga raised his patu to strike at his parents but Tāwhirimātea was on him in a flash. Grappling in the dark they struggled, until finally Tāne Mahuta pleaded for quiet.
"Stop! Fighting will not resolve our problem, we have agreed that we cannot continue to live this way. I'm sorry Tāwhiri but separating our parents has been agreed upon by the majority of us. With the gentle push of my arms, and without hurting them, I will push our parents apart."
Tāwhirimātea 3
The others agreed, but Tāwhirimātea refused to support what he didn't believe was right. Firstly Tāne Mahuta braced his legs on Papatūānuku and pushed Ranginui with his arms. He used all his strength, but without success.
"You cannot separate them," said Tāwhirimātea. "Give it up, they are meant to be together!"
But Tāne Mahuta wasn't finished. He lay on his back, pulled his legs to his chest then pushed from below. Slowly he pushed, but still nothing happened. Again he pushed, using all his strength, but nothing happened. He took a breath and pushed once more. Releasing his breath, and taking another, he pushed again, a new surge of strength pumping through his body. And at last there was movement.
Tāwhirimātea roared with fury, "No!"
But it was too late. Ranginui and Papatūānuku were forced apart, and light filled the world. The brothers lay in shocked silence covering their eyes from the brightness of Tamanuiterā shining down on their cowering bodies.
Tāwhirimātea was first to jump to his feet, lashing out at the others in anger. "I will never let you rest for what you have done, even your children won't be safe from my clutches! This will be my domain forever and you will always feel my wrath," he called to the other children, and he flew up to join his father.
As time passed animals, plants and people grew in the light of the sun. The mokopuna of Ranginui and Papatūānuku populated the world.
Tāwhirimātea kept his promise living in the realm of his father, the sky. He became the guardian of the winds, Ngā hau e whā, and continues to be so to this day.
Sometimes Tāwhirimātea is content to listen to advice from his parents and forgive his siblings. On those days the weather is fine, clear and calm. But sometimes he is reminded of the pain his parents endured when they were separated, and the longing they still have for each other. On those days he sends tornadoes, hurricanes, and cyclones to hound the descendants of those that betrayed him.

week 8 - The soccer warrior

I choice this because I enjoyed writing it.
We were learning to make a narrative.
The soccer warrior

I wake up and see my roof of my bedroom I sniff the fresh air. I get
up and hop out of bed, put some clothes on. I go out and make
some milo and weetbix. Then, I finished and turn on TV. Brayden and Oscar come over to my house and we watch TV for a while. Suddenly there was breaking news. It said, “the golden soccer ball has been stolen. Police are talking to the mayor right now there is a reward of $1000 for who ever finds the ball.”Then we went to my room and heard something. Then we had a idea. We ran to Taylor the builder’s shop and got him to build a soccer suit for all of us. From out of nowhere, Ronaldo walks in to the shop. We go up to him and ask him to help us find the golden soccer ball. He says, “yes” and orders a soccer suit too.
“Coming right up,” said Taylor.
Then Taylor was finished making the suits we all put them on and read the instructions. then we all ran out the door. To the museum of soccer to look for the ball. When we got there, we were about to get inside when a security guard stopped us.
“What do you think you're doing?” Said the guard. Then Ronaldo said “come on, do you want to have the golden soccer ball or not?”
“OK!” he said with a grunt then walked off.
Then we walk into museum of soccer. then we get to the spot of the crime. We put our glasses on and scan for fingerprints or foot prints. We find some and follow them to a house that was wreck and the door was left open we went inside. Then the footsteps stop and we found a hole in the floor. I put my finger in the hole and pull it up revealing a trap door to a laboratory. We walk forward checking for boobytraps. Just then our glasses ran out of charge. “Great!” we all said being sarcastically. Then Oscar found a camera and drew on a piece of paper so it looked exactly like what it looked like. It would have seen before then stuck it to the screen. Then we see a guy walking. We sneak towards him and he's holding the golden soccer ball. Brayden popped a soccer ball bomb and kicked it at him, but just misses. Then the guy started to run. He yelled “ROBOT’S ATTACK!” Then bad soccer ninjas fall from the roof. Then we all pop out soccer ball bombs and start kicking and then dropping more. Then they all fell down dead. We ran past and saw the guy in a laboratory. “What do you want with the golden soccer ball?” I yell not thinking.
He turned around and stared at us.
“The ball has the power of soccer and I want it,” he said and then pulled out a gun and started to shoot at us.
Ronaldo pulled out a taser gun and shoots at him. then the guy fall down. Ranaldo chucks the guy over his shoulder and I take the golden soccer ball and we run out. and then we go to the police station and we hand the guy in and give him the soccer ball and take our reward. Then we split the reward and go home. I put my suit in my cardboard and go downstairs to watch TV.

Dear Adele,


Thankyou for your help at camp when we were making the fudge. You were very helpful and nice. You helped us pack up at the end and you gave us some very helpful tips . Your part of the amazing race was my favourite.


It was fun eating the fudge. You were a good judge in the masterchef competition. The pancakes we made tasted so delicious and our burgers, we swallowed them whole!


I really appreciated you coming to camp because it would have been hard taking time off from your family. You were great at taking the photos of camp, and encouraging us with all of our activities.


Thanks again for coming and helping at camp you were very nice and helpful.

  2. 1 cup of plain flour.
  3. 1 cup of sugar.
  4. Then stir.
  5. Get butter and put it in a bowl.
  6. Then put a teaspoon of maple stieip in the bowl of butter.
  7. Then get another bowl then put 2 ½ a teaspoon of flour.
  8. Then put ½ a teaspoon of water then stir.
  9. Then put the bowl the bowl in step 8 and tip into the butter bowl.
  10. Then stir.
  • Then tip all the bowl into the butter bowl asep the flour bowl.
  • Then tip the mixture into the flour bowl and stir.\
  • Then put on baking tray in circles.
