Menu writing with Mr Moriarty
Creating a scrumptious, professional sounding menu to treat your family.
Writing Purpose: to inform the reader
WALT choose words and phrases appropriate to the topic
Success Criteria:
  • Introduce your menu to your audience (who’s eating it)
  • Precise nouns e.g. cheesecake, bacon burger, crayfish
  • Adjective phrases e.g. crumbly base which breaks apart / juicy, salty and sea-fresh flesh
  • Your menu must have a Starter (Entree), Mains and Dessert. It can have options to choose from, salads and special drinks
  • It must sound yummy!
